As part of our run-up to the Etsy Christmas pop-up shop this upcoming weekend, we’d like to introduce some of our sellers to you. We asked them a few questions about their shop, how they became an Etsy seller and their golden tips for online success!
This episode: Alana from AWPrints
Alana’s current items consist of Screen Prints which she designs and makes by herself, most of which are one off’s.
How did you choose your shop name?
I wanted to choose something simple that reflected the items that I sell.
How did you decide to be an Etsy Seller?
After I finished my Degree in Fine Art I was determined to remain creative. I think Etsy is a nice way to do this – especially if you lead a busy life.
What do you love most about your products?
They are very personal to me, having made most of them throughout my degree – I also love the colour combinations.
What have been your biggest challenges in running an Etsy Shop?
Making new products – as I work full time, finding the time to make new things is hard but when I get round to it, I love it!
What are your best tips for running an Etsy shop?
See what else is out there that is similar to you and take tips from other Etsy shops! Just have a real good browse and make yourself aware of your competitors.
Come meet Alana, and our other sellers at the Fountain Inn, 12 Regent Street, Cambridge!
